Studio PPF FAQs
Caring for your Paint Protection Film (PPF) is simple. You can wash your vehicle just like you would if it didn’t have PPF. Our PPF is designed to be instant self-healing, so any swirl marks caused by washing will vanish even in temperatures as low as -20°C.
When using a pressure washer, be sure to maintain a reasonable distance to prevent excessive force on any unwrapped edges. Additionally, similar to regular paintwork, PPF can be susceptible to bug stains and bird droppings, so we recommend removing them as soon as possible.
Comprehensive aftercare instructions and guidance will be provided at the time of handover and are available whenever you need them.
Yes, PPF can be removed at any time without leaving any indication that it was ever applied. One situation where removal might be necessary is if the film gets damaged or if repairs are needed on a specific panel. We strongly advise bringing the vehicle back to us for any film removal, as a professional installer should carry it out.
Overall, PPF is an effective way to ensure the longevity and appearance of a vehicle while providing peace of mind for the owner.
With ongoing advancements in technology, our choice of films are now so optically clear that they actually enhance the appearance of your vehicle, eliminating issues like ‘orange peel’ or dulling effects seen in earlier generations of paint protection film (PPF).
We have invested in state-of-the-art equipment that utilises 3D scans of your vehicle to create pre-cut shapes. This ensures that each piece of film perfectly fits the contours of your vehicle’s panels before installation.
As a result, we can achieve wrapped edges and tight corner fitments for a nearly invisible finish. If any part of the vehicle requires a joined or seamed PPF area, we will discuss this with you in detail.
- Protection from damage: PPF acts as a barrier against rock chips, scratches, and other road debris, helping to maintain the integrity of the vehicle’s paint.
- UV ray resistance: It provides protection against harmful UV rays, which can lead to paint fading and oxidation over time.
- Environmental shielding: PPF protects against environmental contaminants such as bird droppings, tree sap, and acid rain, which can damage the paint.
- Self-healing properties: Our PPF has self-healing capabilities, allowing minor scratches and swirl marks to disappear with heat.
- Preservation of aesthetics: The film is virtually invisible, ensuring that the vehicle’s appearance remains pristine while adding a layer of protection.
- Easier cleaning: The smooth surface of PPF makes it easier to clean and maintain the vehicle, as dirt and grime are less likely to adhere.
- Increased resale value: By protecting the paintwork, PPF can help maintain the vehicle’s resale value, as potential buyers often prefer vehicles with well-preserved exteriors.
- Customizability: PPF can be applied to specific areas of the vehicle, such as high-impact zones, or it can cover the entire car, depending on individual needs.
- Cost-effective: While there is an initial investment for PPF installation, it can save money in the long run by reducing the need for paint repairs and touch-ups.
