Ceramic Coatings
Making Maintenance Effortless
Ceramic coatings are a premium, long-lasting paint protective solution that offers superior levels of protection and an unmatched glossy finish. When applied to your vehicles surfaces, these technologically advanced hydrophobic and anti staining coatings create a durable, invisible layer that repels water, dirt and contaminants, making your vehicle easier to clean and preserving its appearance.
With regular and correct maintenance a ceramic coating can last for years, ensuring your vehicle looks freshly detailed after every wash, whilst also being time efficient by not having to constantly polish and wax your vehicle to try and imitate the desired shine.
What’s included
A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so every ceramic coating starts with proper preparation.
- Wash and decontamination. Road film, iron fallout and tar are removed so the coating bonds to clean paint.
- Paint correction where needed. Swirl marks and light scratches are polished out first, so the finish you are sealing in is the best it can be.
- Coating. An advanced nano-diamond based ceramic coating is applied to the paintwork, and to the wheels if you choose.
- Handover and aftercare. We explain how to wash and look after the coating so it keeps performing.
Ceramic coating or PPF?
They do different jobs, and many owners use both.
Paint protection film is a physical layer that takes the hit from stone chips, scuffs and scratches. A ceramic coating is a thin, hard layer that adds gloss, makes the car far easier to wash and resists UV and light swirls, but it will not stop a stone chip.
A popular approach is PPF on the front of the car, where chips happen, and a ceramic coating on the rest for gloss and easy cleaning. We will recommend what makes sense for your car and how you use it.
Ceramic coating FAQs
How long does a ceramic coating last?
With regular and correct maintenance, a ceramic coating can last for years. How long depends on the coating chosen, how the car is used and how it is washed, and we will explain this when we quote.
Do I still need to wash my car?
Yes, but it is much quicker. Water and dirt slide off the surface, so a gentle wash brings back the gloss without polishing or waxing.
Is a new car worth coating?
Yes, and it is the best time to do it. We check the paint first, as new cars can still need a light polish to remove marks from transport and dealer preparation.
Can you coat the wheels too?
Yes. A coating on the wheels makes brake dust far easier to clean off.
